One of the most famous of Spain's legendary Balearic Islands, Ibiza stands of Spain's eastern coast and contains a population exceeding 100,000 people. Ibiza Airport is the island's main gateway and is located on the southern coast, remaining busy throughout the year.

Home to many important locations, towns and villages, the capital of Ibiza is Ibiza Town, which is known locally as 'Eivissa'. Other areas worth noting on the island of Ibiza include San Antonio, which is located on the western coast and features a sheltered bay, where you will find many of Ibiza's most notorious nightclubs. Santa Eulalia is also worthy of a visit and stands along the eastern coast of Ibiza.

In general, the northern and western coasts of Ibiza are fairly sparsely populated, offering a small selection of beach resorts, while Ibiza's eastern side is quite the opposite, with a huge selection of resorts and places to stay. Noteworthy beaches on the eastern coast of Ibiza include the Playa den Bossa, Cala Llonga and Es Cana.
